Role

Story Featuring Author &
Speaker: Lucinda Secrest
McDowell
“My mission is to glorify God and live in
His grace and freedom, and
through the power of the Holy Spirit to use my gifts to communicate
God’s faithfulness, extend His grace, and encourage others to trust Him
fully.”
Role
of
a
Lifetime
–
Your Part in God’s Story – Lucinda Secrest McDowell
helps you take hold of your unique part
and
important purpose in the greatest story of God’s kingdom. Indeed, each
life is cast into an ongoing epic adventure, but too often we play it
safe, assuming ourselves to be only minor characters. With a dramatic
flair, McDowell storyboards a pathway toward passion and significance,
a life marked by radical faith and an ever-deepening relationship with
God that will make a difference in your life and the lives of others.
Author and Speaker Lucinda
Secrest McDowell has been a
storyteller all her life! Her greatest joy is to make God’s
faithfulness visible and real through practical illustrations of
biblical truth in ordinary life. The eight books she authored include
Role of a Lifetime, Spa for the Soul, God’s Purpose for You (a new 12
week Bible Study), Quilts from Heaven, Amazed by Grace, What We’ve
Learned So Far, Women’s Spiritual Passages and A Southern-Style
Christmas. She is also a contributing author to 25 other books and has
published in more than 50 magazines, earning Mount Hermon’s “Writer of
the Year” award. Cindy holds degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological
Seminary and Furman University, and also studied at the Wheaton
Graduate School of Communication. Through her ministry, “Encouraging
Words that Transform,” she brings enthusiastic wit and wisdom as an
international conference speaker and seminar teacher. She is
particularly energized by interacting with people to create innovative
presentations on special themes. Cindy is privileged to have had a
variety of life experiences such as radio producer and broadcaster,
editor and journalist for two international conventions, and has
directed missions, women’s ministries and pastoral care at large
churches in both California and Connecticut. In addition to reading,
watching and sharing stories, Cindy enjoys tea parties, letters on fine
stationery, cozy quilts, soothing massage, good books, country music,
bright colors and laughing friends. A southerner from birth, she has
spent recent years living in a New England village with her husband and
four children.
ENDORSEMENTS
“Ever
wondered ‘If all the world’s a stage, why can’t I get a better
storyline’? If so, Cindy’s words challenge us to examine our past,
embrace our present and embark on new journeys which will lead us to
live fully.” – Anita Renfroe, comedian, author and speaker
“With her
usual bottom line honesty, Cindy helps us understand the
importance of taking time for personal renewal, physical rest, and
spiritual replenishment. Your mind and heart will be revitalized with
biblical insight and practical application.”
– Carol Kent, speaker and author
